Is Meditation beneficial

| Administrator | Opas Blog, Health

Meditation has been around for thousands of years. Ancient civilizations practice meditation. Researchers speculate that primitive hunter-gatherer societies may have discovered meditation and its altered states of consciousness while staring at the flames of their fires.

Meditation for Peace, Love, Harmony, Understanding, Guidance, Balance, and Truth

Once you start to practice meditation, you'll feel a piece of serenity, wholeness, peace, and completeness. The stress filled lives we lead will affect us less and less.

In fact, we will learn how to cope better with the obstacles in our lives giving us feelings of whole and leaving us to be in one piece at the end of the day. In fact, obstacles will be viewed as easy instead of something we are not looking forward to. Some of us feel lost or have been feeling lost as to what is our purpose in life and why am I here? We have all asked this question at one point in our lives. Meditation can help with that, it can give us keen perception of what is going on around us and what is going on inside of us.

A quiet mind

Meditation has many wonderful benefits and that includes quieting the mind and to bring a sense of inner peace. This will help with understanding that what is simply projected in life is a indicator of what's going on inside of you. A sense of inner peace will help to bring more peace on the outside in your everyday life and increase strength in your relationships.

Improved focus and the ability to concentrate

This may be the case for many of us but as soon as we get into our cars and we are off to work, the grocery store, or wherever we may be going that our stress begins to start. Our ability to focus and concentrate is not as strong as we would like it to be because we are constantly on the go and occupied by situations that require most of our attention. Situations like traffic, our cell phones ringing while we are driving, music playing on the radio, helicopters flying over our heads. It's all a distraction. When you increase your meditation because you are still and focused to relax your body and mind, you exercise your ability to concentrate and focus. A form of meditation could be reading a book or taking a bath. These are all forms of taking a direct way to focus on quieting your body and mind. Increased focus and the ability to concentrate helps one to make less mistakes, better decisions and judgements. You will also acquire more patience and this will benefit your relationships with all people in your life.

A feeling of content, worry-free and fearless

With the journey of meditation comes the feeling of fearlessness and worries begin to wither away. You feel more content and have a better understanding of life in general. You'll even gain more self confidence. A positive outlook for every encounter in your life will increase. Your thoughts will have more purpose and structure. The chaotic multi-tasking thinking will decrease and you'll be able to live in the moment rather than watching life pass you by. You will also be able to direct your life into the direction you want it to go not the other way around. Over time you will notice that your behavior of negative thinking will trade places with positive thinking, and, therefore, effect your life tremendously for the better.

All benefits of meditation have an effect on the mind, body, and soul. The effects increase depending upon the amount of meditation practiced.

Meditation will lead you to answers

It is highly believed that we are not just the physical skin and body we see and that we are something far more greater. I will not dive into this subject extensively because I'm not here to burst anyones beliefs. Through my journey of meditation I have asked questions and my questions have been answered. It is thought to believe that we have far more control over our lives and situations than we think we have.

All of this time throughout history most of what we know is control. Our lives are controlled. We are controlled with marketing, what we eat, our ability to speak our minds, the list can go on. If its not GMO food that we are eating because the food market is controlled, its the personal care industry or the cotton industry. We have lost control over our own lives. What if someone told you that you could be in control of your life. We are so busy occupying ourselves with instruments, games, tv, credit cards, that we forgot who we really are. Ask the question and let the answer come to you.
