How important is clean water and salt for the body?

In our affluent society millions of people suffer from obesity, slagging and thus resulting in diseases. The causes: sedentary lifestyle, eating too many calories - and chronic lack of water and salt. It sounds strange that too little water and salt makes us fat, lazy, sick and prematurely old. Finally, we have an abundance of water and salt is regarded as white poison rather than white gold. However, we mainly consume chemically manufactured drinks instead of drinking pure water, seasoning with worthless common salt (sodium chloride) instead of full-fledged natural salt. The physician Dr. Barbara Hendel from Herrsching in Upper Bavaria has dealt with international research on curative effects of natural spring water and salt. With biophysicist Peter Ferreira she summarized the findings in the book "Water & Salt - source of life".

MSG and Salad Dressings

Whether your starting a new lifestyle or keeping up with the current one i.e. keeping healthy, eating right, and exercising. Detoxing can keep your taste buds clean. What do I mean by clean? Well, some people do not know the difference between MSG seasoning, loads of artificial flavoring and colors in their food. In order to detect these chemicals in your food, you must have keen taste buds. Detoxing is the way to build super receptors on your tongue that will help you determine the quality and purity of your food. Just give it a try, its a very cool trick and you have nothing to lose.

# 1 How to get started

Eliminate eating all fast foods. Fast foods are the #1 carriers of MSG, artificial flavor and color. Check your cupboard or pantry for any products that have artificial flavoring, colors, and MSG. When you find them, throw them out. You can donate food but if I wouldn't personally eat these products I would not give them to anyone.

Spring Water
Myth #1: 2 Quarts of water daily (64oz) is all adults need to stay hydrated.

Actually, the current recommendation is 1/2oz per body weight. So if you are 150lbs, you would need 75oz of water a day to be adequately hydrated.

The larger the person, the higher the metabolic load, and thus the more water is required.

Myth #2: Thirst is the best indicator of dehydration.

Holidays and losing weight

So the holidays are coming up and I’m pushing for at least 10 pounds of weight loss. Here are some tips and tricks to get you ready for the holidays as well as fighting from picking up that last piece of pumpkin pie.

My mother and her sister Linda -- Inlaws

The holidays are wonderful if you are not trying to lose your weight pass them. Let’s face it, its hard to resist that last piece of turkey. In my case, since I’m a vegetarian, my mother piles mash potatoes and baked macaroni and cheese on my plate as I reach for the steamed broccoli. Thanks Mom! That is just what I needed, another 5 laps to run right after Thanksgiving.

Meditation

Meditation has been around for thousands of years. Ancient civilizations practice meditation. Researchers speculate that primitive hunter-gatherer societies may have discovered meditation and its altered states of consciousness while staring at the flames of their fires.

Meditation for Peace, Love, Harmony, Understanding, Guidance, Balance, and Truth.

Once you start to practice meditation, you'll feel a piece of serenity, wholeness, peace, and completeness. The stress filled lives we lead will affect us less and less. In fact, we will learn how to cope better with the obstacles in our lives giving us feelings of whole and leaving us to be in one piece at the end of the day. In fact, obstacles will be viewed as easy instead of something we are not looking forward to.

I eat right, exercise, laugh, sweat, have low stress, work, and surround my self in nature as often as possible.

What else am I possibly missing in my life?

Certain foods can assist in fat burning. A number of vegetables and fruits for example can assist in burning fat by boosting the metabolism or helping to break down fat making it easier to burn off when exercising. Also eating more raw foods, fresh pressed juices, and drinking a variety of teas will help your body to burn fat faster.
